Easy Mounting Steps
1.
Measure 12” to 14” up from the bottom of the door’s weather seal, or place just above the door handle. Mark the spot using the backer plate.
2.
Drill Two – 3/8” holes marked from the backer plate.
3.
Install the Badger Safety Strap inside the door. (Badger Safety Strap, backer plate with two square holes and carriage bolts)
4.
Add the second backer plate on the outside of the door with two round holes.
5.
Add locking nuts.
6.
Ratchet it tight.
